Spring is one of the prettiest seasons in Fort Worth for photos, whether it’s a family session, celebrating a new baby, or capturing your pregnancy. Fresh blooms, greenery, and soft light create a dreamy setting. As a Fort Worth maternity photographer, I love documenting the anticipation of a new baby.
For this maternity session, we chose the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, a location with perfect backgrounds. One of the best things about this spot is its versatility. While sunset sessions are beautiful, the Botanic Garden shines in the mid-morning. Its ample shade makes it ideal for families with little ones who do best before nap time (iykyk). If your family needs a morning session, I have a few favorite shaded locations in Fort Worth and Dallas!

During this maternity session, we let the little girl take the lead. She jumped in and out of photos as she pleased, cuddling up with mom or exploring with dad. When working with toddlers, the best approach is to follow their rhythm—letting them explore, play, and join in for sweet moments on their terms. And, I am always ready to follow their lead! Whether they’re extra curious, suddenly shy, or cheesing the whole time, embracing their energy keeps the session relaxed and fun.
