This session was such an honor to photograph. Mom and Dad had just welcomed newborn twins – on top of having twin toddlers. Four kids, all under three. That’s a house full of giggles, diapers, and constant movement. The newborn phase alone can feel like a whirlwind. Add energetic toddlers into the mix? It’s a beautiful kind of chaos.

That’s why I love lifestyle newborn sessions so much. No pressure for perfectly still babies or elaborate poses. No need for every sibling to sit still and smile on cue. Instead, babies can be awake or asleep. Toddlers can pop in for hugs or to check on their new family members, then dash off to play. We simply follow your family’s rhythm and let the moments unfold naturally.

In this season, you don’t need stiff poses – you need space to simply be together. You need someone to notice the little details of your life. The way your newborn baby snuggles close to you, their tiny hands, your toddler’s silly personality. Because these little details will mean everything to you later.

I first met this sweet family during their maternity session. Being invited back to photograph these first days with their twins was an incredible honor. I never take lightly what it means to be trusted with your family’s memories.
