Fort Worth Fall Family Photos // Fort Worth and Dallas Family Photographer
With fall photo season just around the corner, you might be wondering what kind of family session is the best fit for you. This year, I’m offering three main options (plus newborn sessions, of course): full-length family sessions, petite sessions, and mini sessions. Choosing the right type of session for your family is the first step in getting ready to book and prep for your photos.

Fort Worth and Dallas Full-Length Family Sessions
Full-length family sessions are, and will always be, my favorite. Lasting about an hour or so, these sessions allow parents and kids to relax and enjoy the moment, making it feel like a family date night instead of a photo session. With ample time, everyone can warm-up, play, be silly, and explore at their own pace.
For families with little ones, I highly recommend a full-length session. There’s no pressure for everyone to smile at the camera the whole time; we’ll capture those photos naturally, usually at the beginning and sprinkled throughout. Which means, there’s a more relaxed feeling to the session.
The extra time helps everyone feel comfortable, giving you photos that truly reflect your family. It accommodates the varying emotions of little ones, allows for snack breaks, gives time for plenty of cuddling, games, and everyday moments, resulting in photos that showcase your family’s current season. Your family, your vibes, your story.
A full-length session provides a larger gallery, 70 + images, with a wide variety of photos, perfect for displaying at home or creating a cherished album. You’ll also get access to my client closet of women’s dresses. Together, we’ll choose the best date and location in the Fort Worth and Dallas area for your family and these sessions can be booked all year.
This might be a good session type for your family if…
- you want choice in location and dates and access to the client closet
- you or your family need time to warm-up and feel comfortable
- you want your session to feel like a family date
- the thought of a time limit stresses you (or your spouse/kids) out
- you want to wear more than one outfit or include extended family
- you want a variety of images (mix of traditional and lifestyle)
Fort Worth Petite Family Sessions
Petite family sessions are offered seasonably usually during spring and fall at pre-selected locations in Fort Worth. These sessions are a shorter version of my full-length sessions and my goal is to keep it stress-free and fun but at a much quicker pace compared to the full family session. These sessions are about 25 minutes and include about 25 images.
This might be a good session for your family if…
- the pre-selected date and location work with your schedule
- you have teens or older kids and want some updated full family photos
- your littlest ones don’t need as long to warm-up and feel comfortable
- you are ok with a smaller amount of images and variety

Fort Worth Holiday Mini Sessions
These sessions are quick and last about 10 minutes. I typically offer just a handful of mini sessions each year: holiday and personality portraits.
Mini-sessions feel more like the traditional, “everyone look at the camera,” type of session and may be best if you are looking for about 5 images for a holiday card or a yearly refresh. This year, I am offering Santa minis (so fun!) and tree farm minis.
