So much happens in a baby’s first year. One day it’s sleepy newborn snuggles, the next you’re chasing a giggling, curious toddler. That first year moves fast. The days feel long, but the season itself is gone before you know it. That’s why so many families choose to document it through my photo packages. It’s all worth remembering.
This one-year family milestone session was one of my favorites. I loved seeing this sweet family again. We first captured their cozy, in-home newborn session when their little boy was just days old (you can see it here). When we met again for his one-year session, he had grown so much and was full of curiosity, joy, and that sweet toddler energy.
To celebrate the one-year old, we headed outdoors to the stables to match the family’s vision (very fitting for Fort Worth!). Their little guy lit up when he saw the horses. And honestly? The horses loved him too. The family got to relax, spend time together, and watch their little one explore while I documented it all. We ended with a cake smash, and he went all in (scroll down for the frosting-covered cuteness!).
My milestone family sessions are relaxed and easy. We follow your baby’s lead and let connection guide everything. No stiff poses. No pressure. Just honest, joy-filled photos of your baby being exactly who they are. And yes, I love when the whole family gets in the frame. This is your first year too.
