Preparing for a new baby is a whirlwind of tasks: setting up the nursery, baby-proofing the house, doctor appointments, and more. Amidst the chaos, booking your Fort Worth maternity photos is a highlight and shouldn’t be forgotten! So…when is the best time to book your Dallas or Fort Worth maternity photographer?

Read below to learn more about maternity sessions and check out a few photos from this beautiful maternity session at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth.

When is the best time to take maternity photos?

Typically, the best timeframe is between the 28th and 36th weeks of pregnancy. At this stage, you most likely have a decent sized bump. Plus, scheduling during this window means you’re still relatively comfortable in your pregnancy journey, as the later weeks often bring added physical challenges.

Anticipating twins or facing an early due date? Every family and pregnancy journey is unique, and sometimes the typical 28-36 week window may not align with your family. Rest assured, we can arrange a session at a time that suits your needs and timeline, even if it falls outside of the typical 28-36 week window.

When should you reach out to your Fort Worth maternity photographer to book your session?

To secure your spot, reach out at least 1-2 months in advance, especially during peak seasons like spring and fall. Don’t hesitate to contact me earlier if you have specific dates in mind or just want to get to planning!

Ready to start? Here’s how:

Check out my work on both my website and social media to make sure it aligns with your vision. Then, get in touch. I will reach out within 24-48 hours to begin planning your maternity session. BEHIND THE LENS

I'm Amber

I’m a photographer located in the Fort Worth area where I live with my husband and our two kids.

I’ve had a camera in hand since childhood, but it wasn’t until motherhood that I truly wished I could freeze time.

As a mom to two young kids, I know just how quickly the seasons pass. With coffee in one hand and a never-ending to-do list in the other, photography gives us the space to pause, slow down, and truly cherish the memories.

My goal for every session is to capture your family in a way that is authentic, while making the process easy and meaningful. I want you to look back at your photos years from now and see just how beautiful it all was.
